Shower floor pans
Shower floor pans are required for shower floors built on top of the sub floor. Whether it be wood frame or a concrete slab, both processes are similar, as illustrated in the diagram.
Niches versus corner shelves
Tile niches are a favorite way to store products used in the shower. They can be tiled with a tile that is complimentary to the wall tile for an aesthetically pleasing accent. A less expensive option would be corner shelves. When using larger wall tiles, we can fabricate corner shelves out of the wall tile.
Bathing tubs
For small bathrooms with a width of 5 feet (very common in Tucson), a standard 60” L x 30” W bath tub with a height of 14” is typical. These tubs are designed to fit into a wall alcove. 60” tubs are also available in widths of 32 to 36 inches and heights of 16 to 20 inches.
For larger bathrooms there are a variety of choices such as free standing and drop-ins. Drop-in tubs require a deck to be constructed.
